Took the BART to Berkeley and checked out the town/Uni campus. School was out, so pretty quiet.

Less homeless panhandlers too.

Ah…Mission Dolores park a fine place for frollicking.

After perusing the civic centre and hayes valley the Great American Music Hall called us over to have an evening with Melvins. Think drone sludge metal.

A number of indie bands brought us into 2010 at a bar called ‘Amnesia’ in the Mission.

Pursuing a new pair of jeans took us to the only sole-male Levis shop, Cam patiently waited in the changing room.

Further mission exploration revealed some decent opp shops, fine places to eat and many many colourful murals – this one caught cam’s eye.

Enjoying our first gig in San Fran at ‘Bottom of the Hill’ in the Mission, where we have our last week of residence.

Who’s that nerd?

Donning ultimate tourist gears we crossed big red and perused the pleasant but bumbag ruled Saulsalito before ferrying back to the mainland.

Went to do some more concerted shopping in the Haight district and ran into Fay and Marzi who we got chatting to in a park in North Beach the day before! Weird.
