Lapping up the last day
June 30, 2013
A bit of sex pistols reminiscence seeing john lydon play in ‘PIL’ on the last day. Enjoying pizzas in the Glade, sooo good. Happy to see Nick Cave in full swing, though we departed early to see the Smashing Pumpkins, where we learnt that Billy Corgan has not mastered wearing the right sized t-shirt. Had […]
Indians
June 29, 2013
Our camp crew all dressed up as Indians for the Saturday, and there seemed to compulsory ‘horse lips’ gestures for all of the photos too, hence why Smaill, me and Michelle look so wonderful here. Billy Bragg hosted an acoustic set at ‘Leftfield’ stage, and had comedian Phil Jupitus do a cover of the song […]
Music bombardement
June 28, 2013
On Friday it all began, with this being the day of musical excitement as documented below. TBA on the ‘Other stage’ was Beady Eyes, pretty much Oasis without Noel. They played a couple of their songs including ‘what’s the story morning glory’. Pretty funny seeing such a brit pop icon in the flesh, on the […]
Rainy day Thursday
June 27, 2013
Thursday started off with some food in the festival from ‘soup library’ where we sat by an old man who was having casual shots of whisky with his breakfast. Back to the campsite for some drinks, we were in ‘tangerine fields’, which is a pre-setup site just out of the festival. Meant that we […]
Glastonbury!!
June 26, 2013
Into Glastonbury on the Wednesday night, the tents were already up and technical rehersals all go! Great to see it getting all set, and trying to absorb how insanely huge it all is.
Finale
June 18, 2013
Brought a bit of Belgium back to London with us in the form of delectable chocolates and macarons – which I tried for the first time! Great game trying to guess the flavours, quite the surprise! These were enjoyed post a delectable cam cooked dinn dinns of pesto kale pasta. Lovely finale hang time […]
In Brugge
June 17, 2013
Final day in Belgium was spent strolling through the quaint cuteness that is Bruge, with its cobbled streets, crazy levels of old buildings, chocolatiers and beers. No silly busines walking through here – it is a convent. Non-applicable here though, photo shoots going on all over the show.
Sunday pursuits
June 16, 2013
Sunday exploring in Brusssells took us to the museums, with Cam and I checking out the surrealism at Magritte museum and Pete and Jenni frollicking through the park and checking out the military museum. Finished up in Place Flagey with many a more Westmalle (below) and stroll homewards by the University (above).
Saturday foray
June 15, 2013
Saturday started with a stroll through well to do sablon and down to the flea markets at Place du Jeu de Balle, where there was an absolute treasure trove of goodies. I managed to limit myself to one purchase: a pottery butter holder of a very peculiar nature (water is involved). Above is Peter and Jenni […]
